Cookie policy
Last updated 28 October 2026.
This page lists storage on your device. “Cookies” here includes similar technologies such as local storage. You can reopen this explanation from in the footer.
Strictly necessary
| Name | What it is | How long |
|---|---|---|
| inhousepdf-work | Keeps the PDFs you added, and the page edits, in this browser so they survive a reload. File bytes are in IndexedDB. Passwords are not stored. Nothing is uploaded. | Until you choose Clear all work, the inactivity time you picked, or you close the tab if you chose that |
| inhousepdf-work-session | Marks that this tab is still open when you choose “until this tab is closed”. Session storage only. Not sent. | Until the tab closes |
| Service worker cache | Stores the app shell so pages can open offline after a visit. It does not store your PDFs. | Until a new version replaces it, or you clear site data |
Analytics
No analytics cookie is set. If a cookieless collector on this same site is configured later, update this section with the address, the events, and a statement that IP addresses are not stored. The tool keeps working if that request is blocked.
Advertising
None in this release. No advertising cookie is written and no ad script is requested.
When advertising is enabled, add a row for each cookie or similar technology the network uses, whether it is personalised or not, and how to refuse it. Reject must lead to non-personalised ads that do not set non-essential cookies. The choice itself may be stored under a name such as inhousepdf-ads-consent. That record is strictly necessary because it remembers the choice. Do not write it before the person chooses. Personalised advertising aimed at people in the UK or EEA needs a Google-certified consent management platform. Link to that platform’s cookie list here when you add it.
How to change your mind
Use Cookie settings in the footer. You can also clear cookies and site data in the browser. Clearing site data removes the offline copy of the app until you visit again. It does not affect PDFs saved in your downloads folder.
